Aromatherapy is a type of treatment or alternative therapy in which
distilled or cold-pressed essential and base oils are used. These oils can be
made from the peels, barks, roots, resins, leaves, stems, herbs or flowers of
the different plants or fruits. These can be inhaled directly from the bottle,
dissolved in steamed water, from special diffusers for the atmosphere, added to baths or in some cases they can be
ingested for the promotion of physical as well as psychological wellness.
They can be used for massage and other therapies as part as treatments
with a holistic point of view.

antiseptic, astringent, sedative, expectorating, diuretic, etc. properties and
they can treat a wide range of symptoms and conditions such as muscular, bone,
skin, gastrointestinal, hormonal, bronchial and breathing ailments, as well as
conditions related to stress, depression, nervous system in general,
circulatory problems, insomnia, among many others.
